For MSPs running RUCKUS One with DPSK
Let residents manage their own Wi-Fi.
Every passphrase change is a phone call to someone. Bitting gives each resident a way to see their own passphrase, change it themselves, and check what is connected — without touching your DPSK pools by hand.
It works with the DPSK you already run
No Property Management, no Edge, no unit hierarchy, no migration. A property here is a DPSK pool plus its identity group, which is all the platform needs to be asked for.
Connect a tenant
An API credential scoped to DPSK, not an administrator token. It is validated against RUCKUS One before it is stored, and encrypted with a per-tenant key.
Register a property
Pick a pool, name it, and its units are ready. Pool rules — minimum passphrase length, notification settings — are read from the platform, not retyped.
Issue claim codes
One code per unit, for a welcome letter. Shown once, stored only as a hash, and replaceable when a letter goes missing.
Careful about the part that matters
A resident's passphrase is the key to their home network. The design says so in a few places you can check.
- A narrow credential. The platform calls this product can make are a fixed list in the source. Adding one is a documented decision, not a commit.
- Changes need the device. Seeing or changing a passphrase takes a signature from a key that cannot be used without the resident's own biometric. A stolen session is not enough.
- Tenants are separated by the database. Not by remembering to add a filter. The application connects as a role that cannot see across tenants even if the code asks it to.
- A change is not confirmed until it is real. The platform accepts a passphrase change before applying it, and can then fail. Bitting reads the value back and compares before telling a resident it worked.
Have a claim code?
If your building gave you a code like K7QM9-XR42W-FH8TN, it is for the Bitting resident app — which is still being built and is not available to download yet.
Keep the letter. Your code stays valid for the period printed on it. If you need your Wi-Fi password before then, ask your property manager.
Where this is
Bitting is in development and not generally available. The operator console is live and account creation is closed while it is tested against real tenants.
